Today’s unboxing and review features my September Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box and it’s a box that I always look forward to receiving as their curations have really had the wow factor lately but having said that I don’t think this month’s offering tops some of their previous edits in my opinion. Nonetheless, I did come across some favourites so it’s not a bad edit by no means and also featured products I’ve not tried before from a host of popular brands such as Make Up For Ever, Smashbox, Shiseido and Flora.py, plus every single item is full sized so you can be rest assured that you’re getting value for money as the contents usually total up to around £90.00+.

Without further ado here’s what I received inside the August Deluxe edition:

I’ve not explored much from Make Up For Ever and it’s the first time the brand’s been featured inside a Look Incredible Box so the Artistic Eye Shadow Palette (RRP £37.00) is a very welcome addition but I’m seriously struggling to get use out of all the eyeshadow palettes but then again these types of products are what rank up the total value of the contents! Launched in December 2016, this pro eye looks booster with 9 must-have Artist Shadows helps achieve multiple looks. All the shadows are very pigmented, blendable and so easy to apply but if I had to pick favourites, the standout shades for me in both colour and texture is the D-712 – Creme Brulee (Diamond) and ME-614 – Graphite Brown (Metallic)

I’ve got to admit I’m more of matte kind of girl when it comes to lip products so I was already in two minds whether I’d like the Smashbox Be Legendary Long Wear Lip Lacquer in the shade Firecracker (RRP £18.00) and now I’ve tried it and due to the vibrant orange-red hue I can confirm I’m not a fan. Described as a long-wearing and strongly pigmented hybrid formula, this goes on like a lacquer and lasts like a stain for 8 hours of wear.

Being a regular wearer of mascara, something that did pique my interest inside this month’s box was the Shisedio Nourishing Mascara Base (Full Size RRP £22.50) which promises to define every lash for dramatic curl and length. The intensifying mascara base works to promote lash health, enabling other mascaras to glide on effortlessly with intense colour depth, impact and volume. It’s also dermatologist and Opthalmologist -tested. I’ve never thought about using mascara primer before so I couldn’t wait to pair this with my beloved Loreal Telescopic mascara to see if it actually intensified the length and volume. I haven’t road tested this out for long but my initial impressions from using it a couple of times is it’s amazing! I have to say that so far it prevents smudging, adds a little more length to my lashes, holds a beautiful curl and to no surprise has ended up inside my makeup bag!

Lastly and on the skin care front is two masks from Flora.py (RRP £5.89 each), a brand I’ve not come across before but their products are inspired by the healing powers that blossom in nature. Their 100% coconut sheet masks are soaked in highly nutritious flower ingredients and powerful aromatherapy essential oils and each mask has been created to target certain skin concerns. Inside my box I received the Strength and Energy Mask and the Stress Relief Mask.

 My Verdict

So there you have it this month’s Look Incredible Deluxe edit and although their September line-up wasn’t a personal favourite of mine I did come across a hero product in the form of the mascara primer and it’s something I never knew I needed until this month’s box landed! Also another firm winner inside the box was the Make Up For Ever Eye Shadow Palette and this is probably going to be a very unpopular opinion but yet again there’s another eyeshadow palette which is fab but I’m really struggling to get use out of them all plus these types of products are what generally rank up the value of the contents so I’m not sure what they could replace it with! On a positive note it was promising to see that Look Incredible sourced some different brands for us this month and I’m particularly looking forward to trying out those face masks as I’ve been feeling a little rundown with all the house renovations going on – it really is no fun being an adult!  If you fancy subscribing be sure to check out my previous reviews here

We’re almost nearing the end of month (time is seriously just flying by!) which means it’s time to unveil the August Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box and to no surprise it’s another excellent curation and features a wealth of quality brands such as MAC, Too Faced, Kiehls and Nars so you’re bound to come across some favourites. Focusing on mainly make-up alongside a skin care addition, I was beaming from ear to ear when I discovered what was inside – these boxes really do feel like a true treat and with every single item being full sized you can be rest assured that you’re getting value for money as the contents usually total up to around £100+.

Without further ado here’s what I received inside the August Deluxe edition:

Too Faced pops up a hell of a lot inside the Look Incredible boxes not that I’m complaining as I’m a huge fan of the brand plus it all seems to be current and available to buy so it’s a great way to grow your collection or to get to know them that little better! I think you’ll agree the most obvious winner inside this month’s box and one that will be hugely popular with subscribers is the Too Faced Funfetti eye shadow palette (RRP £29.00) which forms part of a special collection launched last year and the packaging and presentation is absolutely adorable. Aside from the adorable packaging, the palette contains a good balance of wearable matte and shimmery shades which can be coordinated to achieve a variety of looks. I’m really chuffed to add this to my collection and look forward to using it.

Up next we have the NARS Velvet Lip Liner (RRP £18.00) in the shade Patong Beach which is described as a rose pink hue. It’s enriched with nourishing Vitamin E and can be worn on its own or as a flawless foundation for lipstick. Designed with a handy built-in sharpener, the creamy smooth formula creates the illusion of a fuller pout – frame just outside your natural lip to enhance the effect. I usually go for these types of shades and I think this will pair really well with MAC Twig.

On the skin care front is the Kiehls Powerful Strength Eye Brightening Concentrate (Full size 15ml) which retails for a whopping £39 so it’s a very generous addition. This line reducing eye treatment for brighter-looking eyes contains a potent concentration of Pure Vitamin C 10.5%, known for its affinity with skin and powerful ability to improve the appearance of aging skin. It also contains Haloxyl, which strengthens, soothes and brightens the eye area, helping to eliminate dark circles. Admittedly, this will be the first time I’ve tried anything from Kiehls so I can’t wait to give it a go as my current eye cream is nearing the end.

It’s been a while since Look Incredible featured a nail varnish so I was obviously over the moon that one made its way inside this month’s box!  The MAC Nail Lacquer (Full Size RRP £13.00) in the shade Sunset Sky is a mid-tone crimson and looks perfect for autumn. I’ve never tried any of the nail varnishes from MAC so I’m really excited to try out the formula.

 My Verdict

I thought this was another impressive and well put together edit by Look Incredible something that they’ve really mastered recently and in all honesty their boxes very rarely disappoint as not only do they feature mainly make up which is just one of the reasons why this box really appeals to me but I’ve also discovered some great products from brands that I already love in addition to those who I’ve not had much experience with. Their August edit featured a good variety and put an excellent host of brands in the spotlight and although I’m a huge fan of Too Faced I think we are definitely due a little break from them! In terms of favourites so far, the palette is obviously a firm winner but I also love the look of the nail varnish shade and trying out the eye cream and the lip liner. For £35.00 and boasting a value of £100, this really is worth the price tag. If you fancy subscribing be sure to check out my previous reviews here
