So last month’s edit was certainly a little underwhelming but Look Incredible have most certainly knocked it out of the park for November! Dressed in in gold, this month’s box is back to its usual self and not only has had a makeover but the line-up represents exactly what I would expect to see for this time of the year – they’ve truly spoilt us and it’s not even Christmas yet! If you favour make-up over skin care then it’s one you won’t want to miss and surprisingly it is still in stock.

If you’re new to Look Incredible they offer three types of beauty boxes which range from £25 – £65 and aim to deliver lust worthy beauty treats (mainly make-up) from brands we all love and know straight to your door and no spoilers are released so it’s a complete surprise when it arrives.

Here’s what I received inside the November Deluxe edition:

Upon opening the box the item that caught my attention straightaway was the Huda Beauty Lip Strobe (Full Size RRP £17.00) in the shade Ritzy, a range that only got launched this year so I was really surprised but ever so delighted to see this on board. Depending on the shades, these lip strobes are described as either sheer or full coverage and can be worn alone or layered. Ritzy is a truly stunning gold iridescent, almost a metallic hue which leans more towards semi-sheer I’d say judging by the swatch. Formula wise, it has the feel and texture of a gloss without being overly sticky but I think you’ll agree this is so appropriate for the party season and a great way to amp up those lips!

Too Faced again! Why am I not surprised! So up next is the Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Perfect Navy (Full size RRP £25.00), a creamy, waterproof and long wearing eyeliner that promises to glide on with the ease of a liquid liner and lock down for 8+ hours of smudge proof wear and includes a flexi firm, beveled smudger to allow a smoky blend or precise line. Normally I don’t gravitate towards blue eyeliners however I really like this tone of blue. The formula is also pretty excellent, it’s really creamy and glides on smooth and once it sets it honestly doesn’t budge. On the flip side, my only worry is that the kohl is so soft that it might break when sharpening but other than that I’m so tempted to buy Perfect Black!

Up next we have a full sized Benefit High Beam (RRP £25.00), a pinky pearlescent natural looking highlighter that gives your skin a lovely dewy kind of look and it’s another firm favourite of mine from the line-up. I love the bottle, it feels very much like nail polish and is so easy to apply.

Last out of the box is the BareMinerals Lash Domination Volumising Duo (RRP £27.00) which is described as the be-all, end-all, 10-in-1 volumizing, lengthening, thickening, separating, long-wearing mascara with superior smudge resistance. Their exclusive ProTwist180™ Wand is spiraled 180 to curve around lashes and coat all angles with intense black color and is powered by nourishing minerals and quinoa protein complex for outrageous, super-sized volume. The smaller sample is the exact formula as above but features a Petite Precision™ Brush for capturing and amplifying short, bottom and corner lashes.

My Verdict

And that just about wraps things up! First off, when it comes to this time of year I actually think all of the products picked out for this month’s edit were perfectly appropriate for the upcoming party season and as a bonus some of the products even benefited from being long lasting to keep you looking great from day to night! The eyeliner was an unexpected win for me so I’m delighted to have this within my stash but the biggest surprise was seeing the Lip Strobe from Huda Beauty – the first time the brand has been featured inside a monthly subscription box! Overall I really loved and enjoyed this unboxing and if this month’s edit is anything to go by I think December is already looking promising  – fingers crossed!

Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box Review – October 2017

*Look Incredible Beauty Box (Deluxe edition) – October 2017
Monthly Subscription – £35.00 plus free postage (UK Only)
No of Products – 4

Value – £90.00+

Today’s unboxing and review features my October Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box and unfortunately I think this month’s line-up is probably my least favourite from them this year, it’s not a bad line-up I guess it just feels very lack-lustrous in comparison to previous editions so I’m hoping it’s a one-off! On a positive note, they have brought a couple of new discoveries to my attention such as a moisturiser from Skin Doctors and a winning product from Laura Geller and as always every single item is full sized which totals up to around £100.00.

Here’s what I received inside the October Deluxe edition:

Up first and something which my skin will definitely benefit from is the Skin Doctors T-Zone Control No More Pores (Full size 30ml RRP £23.00). This overnight product helps reduce the size of pores to create a smoother look to your skin. The treatment contains Salicylic Acid which helps to both clear pores and remove excess oil. The Glycolic and Lactic Acids help gently exfoliate and clarify to reduce pore size. These three active ingredients join together to create the perfect tool to minimise pores, all while you sleep!

I know I’ve moaned about Too Faced being featured too frequently inside the Look Incredible beauty boxes but oh boy I sure was pleased to see them this month as the Shadow Insurance Eye Primer (Full size £17.00) is just one of the two products that really stands out for me. Marketed as their iconic, bestselling primer, it locks down eye shadows and intensifies colour to ensure crease-proof, fade-proof, waterproof wear for up to 24 hours. The feather-light formula glides effortlessly onto lids to create a smooth, even canvas for seamless shadow application and a stay-put look every time.

Up next we have the Helena Rubinstein Collagenist Re-Plump Lip Zoom (Full size) which isn’t a brand I’ve come across before but this product in particular retails for around £35.00 so it’s a generous addition however isn’t something I can see myself using. Described as a potent treatment, it stimulates the five key structuring collagens responsible for the cohesion and firmness of the lips. The result is lips that are rounder, plumper and fuller then before with a noticeably renewed youth.

Last out of the box is the Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Bronze Make Up Primer (RRP £25.00), a lightweight formula that has been designed to revive and retexturise your skin, helping you to achieve a flawless smooth finish with a sheer bronze tint. This primer truly impressed me and leaves such subtle glow despite the scary looking shade! If you haven’t tried this yet from the box you need to!

 My Verdict

Having received some lovely curations from Look Incredible in the last few months, their October line-up just didn’t have usual spark in comparison to previous editions but having said that there’s a few products that I’ll almost certainly be able to make use out of so it’s not all bad – I think the addition of both the primers saved this box! In terms of favourites, the Laura Geller Tinted Primer was the item I was least expecting to love but surprisingly it turned out to be a winning product from the line-up so I’m delighted that this made its way inside the box. Overall, not a bad attempt on Look Incredible’s part but this month’s box definitely wasn’t one of their best so here’s to hoping they raise the bar for November.
